This area, which has always been highly sought after and coveted for its beauty but not only, is between two of the widest and most comfortable streets in the center, Carrara Street and Corso Garibaldi. The natural conformation of these large roads has allowed the construction of dozens of parking spaces on the edge of the carriageways, largely reserved for authorized persons only. Others, for public use during the day, make the historic center easily accessible by crossing the monumental Porta San Pietro, built in the 16th century.

The area is architecturally very beautiful and very exclusive: in the splendid church of Giovanni e Reparata Saints, now deconsecrated, the prestigious Concert Season of Lucca is held every year, with works by Puccini, Verdi and Mozart. The crypt, moreover, is a museum open to the public. From here the access ramp to the most beautiful walls in the center, for a promenade with a view.
